Bad Behaviour recounts my year away in a remote outdoor-education boarding school campus in the foothills of the Victorian Alps. Silver Creek is world-renowned for its outdoor-education program, where students cross-country run, hike, ski and raft throughout the year.
But this idyllic setting belied more sinister aspects of the year away – especially the horrifying bullying that took place in my unit – and Bad Behaviour reflects on how these dynamics, and the complexity of friendships formed in my unit, came to shape me as an adult.
